Virtual Same Day Marriage (“we,” “us,” “our”) helps couples get legally married online. A licensed officiant performs your ceremony, and Utah County, Utah records your marriage. This policy explains what information we handle and the choices you have. It covers visiting marriedtoday.net, using our Get Married questionnaire, buying a ceremony package, and taking part in a ceremony.
The short version: we collect what we need to perform your ceremony and support you. We share it only with the services that make your marriage happen. We do not sell your personal information. The rest of this page spells that out.
Questions at any time: email us at virtualsamedaymarriage@gmail.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and ceremony details. Your first names, email address, phone number, when you want to marry, and the options you choose, such as witnesses or an interpreter.
- Account details. When you purchase, we create an account so you can manage your ceremony from your dashboard. You choose your own password.
- Marriage license information. You apply for your Utah marriage license directly with Utah County, and your application, including any government ID details, goes to the county, not to us. We receive and store the officiant license link needed to perform and legally record your ceremony.
- Payment details. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers. We see the outcome of the payment, the amount, and your billing ZIP code.
- Messages you send us. Emails, texts, and notes from calls when you contact support.
Information created during your ceremony
Your ceremony is performed over Zoom and recorded. The recording and the resulting marriage documents are part of delivering your legal marriage, and your recording is available to you in your dashboard. We use ceremony photos or recordings in our marketing only if you tick the optional consent box in your dashboard.
Information collected automatically
Usage data such as pages viewed, device and browser type, IP address, and the analytics and advertising identifiers described in the sharing section below. We use this to run the site, understand what works, and reach couples who are looking for a service like ours.
A note on sensitive situations
Some couples marry with us as part of an immigration journey. We do not ask about or store your immigration status. For immigration advice, work with a licensed attorney.
Who we share information with
